I am a visual effects and animation artist and an educator. I like to take photographs; I take a lot of them.

More than a decade ago, while I was working in an animation studio in Mumbai, I went on a trek with few of my animator colleague-friends who were good photographers too. The trek that would usually take an hour, took more than 5 hours as they would stop at every single detail, take photographs and discuss things about photography I heard for the first time. This world of art really fascinated me. I borrowed my sisters’ camera for a week, but ended with keeping it for 4 years. I taught myself photography, which still continues every time I see something interesting.

I like to take photographs of people, places, spaces, objects, etc. I try and show these in their natural environment and as how they are. I focus on everyday people, in their lives and situations to tell their stories. I take photos of landscapes, structures and yes, time-lapse I really like to engage with.

I grew up in Pune, worked in Mumbai, studied in England and now live and teach in Bangalore, India.  I do not know if I have settled here yet, but this is where I met my beautiful wife, got married and feels like home. All along this I worked as a newspaper sales agent, a poultry farm manager, call centre agent, driver, in London made burgers in KFC, worked at Cornish pasty shop, a pharmacy, as a part of VFX team on an Oscar award winning film, did a solo 3000 km. road-trip on my Royal Enfield and recently drove 8000 km. from Bangalore to the Himalayas and back. May be I have missed a few things!
